Thursday 10th October 2024 marks World Mental Health Day, and the theme this year is, ‘It is time to prioritise mental health in the workplace’. This year, the campaign aims to shine a light on one of the most pressing concerns within the workplace: burnout. Many of us are experiencing high stress levels for a prolonged period, increasing our likelihood of experiencing burnout.
In the NHS, latest data shows that “anxiety, stress, depression and other psychiatric illnesses was the most reported reason for sickness in NHS staff, accounting for 26.6% of all sickness absence” (NHS Digital, 2024).
By addressing the increasing levels of stress & burnout in the workplace, it is hoped that we can work towards fostering a healthy work environment where staff wellbeing is a priority for all.
This year, Here for You have created a short video, outlining three top tips to support your mental health in the workplace.
